At
one time known as the "The Hub City," Burlington was crossroads
to two important railway systems. Burlington has grown from it's origins,
as a logging camp and railroad center to
include cold storage, metal and fiberglass fabrication, boat building,
rail ways, agriculture, and chemical manufacturing. Even so... Downtown Burlington has a "small town" feel, with many small stores and shops that cater to the local clientele. Burlington's a great place to live! Burlington is situated directly on Interstate 5 in the beautiful Skagit Valley. Seattle is only an hour to the south and Vancouver, BC is just over an hour to the north. State Highway 20 is just north of town, and leads west to the San Juan Islands. To the east it leads through the Cascade Mountains, and on to central Washington. Real Estate is still affordable in Burlington. As of January, 2006, the median price for 3-bedroom, 2-bath homes that sold in the last 60 days was $265,000. Jim Wolcott, Kellie Wolcott, and Richard Perez are all full-time Realtors. Working through Preview Properties in Mount Vernon, Washington, we're here to help you find the perfect home, or to quickly and effectively generate Internet exposure to market your home for sale.
